THE PROBLEM

Is there a way to simplify looking for museums and be able to get a ticket?

One way to understand or see the cultural aspect of a city is through museums. When traveling to a city, users would get information from different resources to plan their itinerary. There is no platform to get the information and purchase in one place.

MY ROLE

For this project, I worked primarily as a UI designer

I worked as a UI designer and created the visual identity of the app. I did secondary research for the app to understand the behavior and reasons why visitors visit museums.

BREAKING DOWN THE PROCESS

Ideation, designing and testing.

Through secondary research, I ideated features that can be implemented for the product. Several design decisions were made that suits the user story for ease in creating the wirefreames. 

For confirmation on the user story, a prototype was tested to 2 users. When the test was validated, I created the design system and visual style of the application.

LESSONS LEARNED

Prototyping is key to understand what needs to be done.

The goal for me was to learn to make UI elements in a short amount of time. Without a clear user story, it was difficult to make what necessary elements were. This gave me a better understanding of requiring user research to set the priorities and information the app will provide.

Moving forward, I would iterate over the design by getting primary data on users. That way, I create a better product that suits the needs of the user better.
